Four Credit Unions. One Shared Purpose.
We’ve always believed a credit union should do something the big banks often forget: know its members by name, look out for their futures, and treat every relationship as if it were the only one.
That belief took root in four distinct regions of the province. WFCU was built alongside the families, businesses, and neighbours of Windsor-Essex. ECU supported educators across Kitchener-Waterloo as they planned for the futures they were shaping for others. Rapport stood with the civil servants who serve communities throughout the GTA and Northern Ontario. And Health Care supported the medical professionals of London–Middlesex who dedicate their days to caring for others.
Different regions. Different members. Different stories — but always the same promise, delivered to one member at a time.
For 85 years, that promise has held true.
Coming together under WFCU isn’t the end of those four stories. It’s the moment we become one.
Why one name?
Our strength has always come from what we share, not what sets us apart.
Bringing our teams, our services, and our expertise together under one name allows us to do more of what matters for our members — deliver better service, provide consistent support, and create a stronger, more connected member experience across Ontario. It also gives Ontarians one trusted name they can recognize and rely on, wherever they are in the province.
It’s a simple idea, backed by a generational track record. Together, across decades and through every kind of moment, we’ve helped more than 84,000 members build financial confidence and move their lives forward.
One name doesn’t make us bigger. It makes us easier to count on.

FAQs
What does WFCU stand for?
WFCU began back in 1940 as Windsor Family Credit Union; that’s our roots, and we’re proud of them.
Today, we’ve grown into a credit union serving members and families across Ontario, so we simply go by WFCU.
Think of the letters as our name now. They stand for the same thing they always have: people looking after people. Nothing about your accounts or your branch changes.
Will my accounts or account numbers change?
No. Everything regarding your accounts will stay the same.
Is my branch closing or moving as a result of the rebrand?
No. The new brand roll out will not result any new changes in your branch locations.
Will I need new cards or login credentials?
No immediate changes. If anything changes in the future, we’ll communicate clearly in advance.
Why is this happening now?
To better serve members across Ontario with a unified, future-focused credit union.
What happens to Rapport or ECU branding?
Over time, you’ll see the WFCU name replace Rapport and ECU branding across our branches, communications, and digital channels.
Will service or support change?
No — if anything, you’ll gain access to more support, tools, and expertise.
