Senior Internal Auditor – Windsor / Kitchener / Toronto
As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for developing our internal audit scope, performing internal audit procedures, and preparing internal audit reports.
In summary, the Senior Internal Auditor will:
- Have responsibility for performing individual internal audit projects, as part of the total internal audit plan.
- Conduct individual internal audit assignments aligned with the overall audit plan.
- Support internal audit management with reporting, audit planning, and promoting internal controls and governance across the business.
As the successful candidate, you’ll have responsibility for:
- Conducting audits across functional and operational areas, with an emphasis on financial, IT, and core business processes.
- Developing the internal audit scope, performing procedures, and preparing reports reflecting the results of the work performed.
- Maintaining necessary documentation to record completed work.
- Performing periodic follow up related to outstanding recommendations from prior audit reports.
- Assisting internal audit management with periodic reporting to the audit committee as well as the development of the annual internal audit plan.
- Overseeing and reviewing the work of other internal audit staff, including co-sourced resources, as needed.

- Demonstrated knowledge of internal control concepts and their application in auditing various business processes and functions.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while guiding and supporting audit team members.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effectively presenting findings to peers and management.
- Leadership capability to influence and gain management support for recommended improvements.
- Solid understanding of internal auditing standards, COSO framework, and risk assessment methodologies.

- An undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance.
- A CPA/CIA designation in good standing.

Senior Director, Retail and Small Business Services - Toronto / Thunder Bay
As a Senior Director, Retail and Small Business Services, you will provide overall leadership and management to a designated territory while fostering a culture of sales and service excellence. This includes ongoing training and coaching of the retail leadership team; supporting our sales culture; ensuring a high level of employee engagement and ensuring locations operate in accordance with our risk management environment.
In summary, Senior Director, Retail and Small Business Services will:
- Oversee the team of District Directors that support our retail locations in the GTA, Oshawa, Kingston, Peterborough, North Bay, Midland, Kakabeka Falls and Thunder Bay areas with regular on-site leadership presence expected at each of these locations
- Support the development and execution of the business development strategy and plans that will drive sales, increase revenue, expand markets, and accomplish the credit union’s financial objectives.
- Define clear expectations and performance metrics for the sales leadership teams. Monitor sales performance against targets and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Oversee the development and monitoring of the annual, quarterly and monthly business plans to maximize growth and member retention to support the strategic growth and direction of the credit union.
- Actively support business development and community investment opportunities, mentoring staff as required, including WFCU’s representation at events across its regions of operation.
- Support WFCU’s culture of accountability, ensuring staff members meet and exceed sales goals while complying with risk management practices.
