Hop to it!

Celebrate spring with WFCU Credit Union and its divisions the only way we know how – by dropping 25,000 toy eggs from a helicopter!

Watch as thousands of colourful toy eggs are dropped from the sky for an egg hunt like no other. Kids ages 2-10 can participate and collect as many eggs as possible! Toy eggs can then be exchanged for chocolate and goodies. Parents/guardians can rest assured that special guests will be on-site to oversee the hunt and ensure a positive experience for all.

Frequently Asked Questions

General

Will there really be a helicopter dropping eggs? Is that safe?

Yes! Our helicopter pilot is an experienced egg dropper, and the drop will comply with all safety regulations. The crowd will wait on the sidelines while the helicopter releases empty toy eggs in the designated area at a safe distance from the crowd. Once the drop is complete, children will then collect and redeem the eggs for goodies.

Registration

What age do children need to be to participate?

Children between the ages of 2 and 10 are eligible to collect eggs. Separate egg drops will be held for different age categories to ensure that all children have a fair chance to gather eggs.

Spectators of all ages are welcome and encouraged to attend. Registration is not required for spectators.

Do children need to register to participate?

Yes. All children must be pre-registered to participate. Please visit WFCU‘s website and/or social media channels for news and updates regarding registration. Please note that children over ten and under two cannot participate.

How do I register?

Please use the buttons above to register. Follow the instructions on Eventbrite for registration, and be sure to include complete information for all children ages 2 -10 who will be participating.

I am registered; now what?

Great! You should receive an email from us soon. Please check your spam or junk folder if you do not receive an email.

Egg Collection

Do we need to bring our own basket to collect eggs?

No. Each child will receive a bag to collect eggs. Eggs cannot be collected in bags or baskets other than those provided. The provided bags are yours to keep after the event!

Can I help my child(ren) collect eggs?

If your child is between 2 and 4, you may help them collect eggs. Parents of children aged five and up are not allowed on the field with their children but can cheer them on safely from the sidelines.

How will children know when to begin collecting eggs?

Children will wait with their parents/guardians on the sidelines until they are given the signal to collect eggs. Before the collection begins, the announcer will provide instructions to the children, and a buzzer will sound to signify the start of the collection.

Once the buzzer sounds, the designated age group will collect as many eggs as possible using the provided bags.

What do the children receive after they finish collecting the eggs?

Once children have completed collecting eggs, they will redeem their eggs for goodies!

Please note that the goodies will be peanut-free candy/chocolate and swag. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate those with dairy or gluten allergies.

Weather and Unforeseen Circumstances

What if it is raining on the day of the drop?

The week before the event, we will review the weather forecast and determine if the event needs to be cancelled. The event will not occur in rain, snow, intense wind, or other extreme weather. All participants will be notified via email at least 12 hours before the event starts.

What should I do if I can no longer attend the event?

If you cannot attend the event after registering, please cancel your registration. We want as many families as possible to experience the Egg Drop!
