WFCU Credit Union 40th Annual General Meeting Highlights
WFCU Credit Union held its 40th Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, with members participating in person and virtually.
Results of the electronic voting on items presented to the Membership were received. Members voted 98.2% in favour to amend the Credit Union’s General Bylaw No. 1 Article 4.01, to include geographic representation on the Board of Directors from the Greater Toronto Area and Northern Ontario, immediately following the 2024 AGM, for a period of three years. Following the completion of the three-year term, there will be no system of representation based on these regions. Members voted 99.6% in favour to amend Bylaw No. 1 Article 5.05 to formalize the process of appointing a Risk Committee at the first meeting after the AGM.
On behalf of the nominating committee, Rick Martinello, Nominating Committee Chair, announced the election results for the five three-year term vacancies on the WFCU Credit Union Board of Directors:
By acclamation, James McCormack to the position representing the Regional Municipality of Waterloo; Murray Lindo to the position representing the Greater Toronto Area; and Derek Motloch and Bob Nesbitt to the positions of General Director. By majority vote, Rox Anne Moore was elected the successful candidate for the position representing Northern Ontario.
