The Town of LaSalle: LaSalle Strawberry Festival

In honour of the start of Summer, the Town of LaSalle hosts the LaSalle Strawberry Festival. This four-day event takes place each June, and WFCU Credit Union has supported this event for many years. Families enjoy entertainment, a carnival, parade, fireworks, and plenty of delicious food, including local strawberries. The LaSalle Strawberry Festival has been a staple in the community for almost 40 years.

LaSalle Turtle Club: Little Turtles League

Founded in 1958, LaSalle Turtle Club Baseball and Softball offers house league and competitive travel programs for various age divisions. WFCU proudly sponsors the Little Turtles, a t-ball division within the house league program. The Little Turtles division is the youngest division with over 10 teams of three to five-year-old children, and is focused on introducing them to baseball and softball in a fun and safe environment.

Our History in LaSalle

As one of WFCU Credit Union’s original locations, our LaSalle branch was instrumental in making the credit union what it is today. LaSalle, along with Windsor, is the oldest French settlement area in Southwestern Ontario, and the oldest continually inhabited European settlement in Canada west of the Quebec border.
