The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County: Holiday Meal Program

The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County was founded in 1979 to provide compassionate, clinical, end-of-life care. They provide specialized wrap-around services to adults, children, and their caregivers. WFCU proudly sponsors the Holiday Meal Program, which provides meals to patients and families on various holidays. These meals create holiday memories and allow for celebrations without the stress of preparing and cooking.

Windsor-Essex Pride Fest brings together members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, their friends, allies, and supporters in celebration of the unique spirit of our community. Each August, WEPF hosts Pride Fest, an outdoor festival that features entertainment, activities, vendors, speakers, and more. For several years, WFCU has supported the festival to promote inclusion and representation within our community.

Windsor Light Music Theatre

Founded in 1948, Windsor Light Music Theatre produces outstanding shows that reflect the best of Broadway musical entertainment. They produce two large-scale shows annually, with over 300 active members assisting with the productions. WLMT is a staple in Windsor-Essex, and WFCU Credit Union has been part of their history for over 20 years.

Transition to Betterness (T2B)

Transition to Betterness (T2B) is a local charity that has grown significantly over the last two decades. They manage 17 ongoing programs that support patients and families in our local hospitals and healthcare facilities. T2B receives no government funding and is fully supported by donations from generous donors and sponsors, like WFCU Credit Union. We are proud to be a major sponsor of many of their events and programs.

W.E. Care for Kids

W.E. Care for Kids fundraises year-round to support various pediatric healthcare initiatives. They purchase pediatric equipment for local hospitals, and have expanded support to programs like the Windsor Essex Therapeutic Riding Association, Ronald McDonald House of Windsor, and the John McGivney’s Children’s Centre. W.E. Care for Kids offers support to Windsor-Essex youth beyond the hospital. WFCU Credit Union has sponsored W.E. Care for Kids for many years, supporting events like the Lemonade Brigade and Black Tie Tailgate.

Our History in Windsor

Since establishing roots in Windsor in 1940, WFCU Credit Union has added four locations across the city, from Riverside to South Windsor, to conveniently serve our members.
