Our History in North Bay
North Bay is often referred to as the “Gateway to Northern Ontario,” with its history, nature, and thriving community. The North Bay branch is conveniently positioned just off Highway 11, on the outskirts of town.
From supporting our personal members to helping small business owners and community organizations, our North Bay branch provides the highest-quality financial products, services and advice to help our members and the community meet and surpass their financial goals.
1945
Queen’s Park Civil Service Credit Union receives its Charter under the Credit Unions Act, 1940.
1982
Queen’s Park Civil Service Credit Union purchases the Ontario Government North Bay Credit Union and opens two branches in North Bay.
1988
Name changed to Ontario Civil Service Credit Union Limited.
1992
The two North Bay branches move into one new location at Algonquin Square Mall on McKeown Avenue.
2011
The North Bay branch moved to 2125 Algonquin Avenue.
2014
Ontario Civil Service Credit Union and Provincial Alliance Credit Union become Rapport Credit Union.
2024
WFCU Credit Union acquires Rapport Credit Union.
2026
Rapport – a division of WFCU Credit Union is rebranded under the new unified brand name WFCU.
August 2026
WFCU receives naming rights to the new North Bay recreation centre, WFCU Place!
